Our three integration model options are well-suited for brands/manufacturers that operate primarily in the wholesale space and are comfortable with dynamic marketplace pricing, brands/manufacturers that operate primarily in the wholesale space but want to retain control of pricing, direct-to-consumer site owners looking for extend-the-aisle opportunities, and current marketplace sellers, whether it be a traditional third-party seller or brand store owner.

Wholesale (1P)

The Coupang Wholesale model offers suppliers and sellers the option to sell their products at scale. With Wholesale, sellers can receive a hands-off experience: Coupang owns the listing and product selection process, shipping, fulfillment, and customer experience for you. The seller of record on-site is Coupang Global LLC- we purchase, store your products, and take care of fulfillment.

Fulfilled by Coupang (CGF 2P)

The Fulfilled by Coupang or Coupang Global Fulfillment (CGF) model offers suppliers and sellers a convenient storage and fulfillment service to Korea from Coupang’s fulfillment centers in California, USA.

*CGF is the only model not open for selling in Taiwan.*

Fulfilled by Seller (3P)

The Fulfilled by Seller 3P model allows third-party sellers to list and sell their products to a vast customer base. This model operates on a direct-ship model, meaning sellers handle the shipping directly to the end customers in South Korea. This is distinct from Wholesale (1P) and CGF 2P, where Coupang owns the shipping and fulfillment process.

Inventory Management

Because organic search relevancy is critical to success at an item level, ensuring a strong in-stock position is critical to maintaining sales momentum.

Sellers and suppliers can track inventory levels, deliveries, sales, and orders. You can also replenish inventory, automate quantity changes, and adjust for lead times.

Marketing Management

MyShop – Linked hereis an example of a bar-raising apparel MyShop storefront so that you can have a visual of capabilities. Viewing with Google Chrome will allow you to leverage their auto-translate feature. 

Paid search and cost-per-click advertising is supported internally by Coupang Media Group. In regard to promotions, while discounting is not a strategy for all brands, Coupang is a highly promotional environment, both with instant discounts and coupons.

 

Price Management

Similar to the importance of promotion, pricing is a critical component of driving conversion in a marketplace.

With multiple sellers selling the same item, the buy-box winners, or the seller/supplier that has the best current offer for the customer, will capture the most sales for any given item.
